VAB. KEEPING YOU ON THE ROAD.
VAB is the largest Flemish automobile association. Since its early beginnings in 1924, VAB has been using state of the art facilities to ensure that all motorists can remain mobile. We are best known for our road breakdown rescue service, which is on stand-by day and night to help stranded drivers on their way. But there is much more to VAB than this.

In the event of a breakdown, VAB members can rely on immediate assistance from one of our 240 patrolmen in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg. Thanks to the technical know-how of the patrol, problems can be rectified on the spot in 9 cases out of 10. If this is not possible, the patrolman will put you and your passengers and the car on board his multifunctional breakdown vehicle and drive you home or to your garage, depending on your choice. If you have opted for the courtesy car formula, you can be on your way immediately. Anyone can become a member of VAB, provided they are domiciled in Belgium.

VAB-TRAVEL ASSISTANCE. OUR GUARANTEES TRAVEL WITH YOU.
You can rely on the experience and know-how of VAB outside Belgium as well. VAB-Travel Assistance provides full travel insurance, which ensures that you always set off on your journey with complete peace of mind. In the event of a serious accident or illness, you will be repatriated as quickly as possible. Local medical costs are covered up to € 250.000. Paramedical costs in Belgium or after an accident abroad are insured up to € 6200. If you have a problem with your car, you will of course benefit from our mutual agreements with breakdown recovery organizations all over Europe. With the courtesy car option, you won't even need to interrupt your journey. Moreover, you can choose between temporary and annual policies. With the annual family formula, each member of your family is insured for a whole year, whatever your destination and means of transport, even if you travel separately. Anyone can take out VAB-Travel Assistance, provided they are domiciled in Belgium.
VAB SECOND-HAND CARS. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY.
Our mobility services include the sale of second-hand cars. In our showroom in Zwijndrecht, you will find second-hand cars which have been checked by our mechanics in the VAB Diagnostics Centre. Their diagnostics report will bring every single fault to your attention - so you know exactly what you're buying. You will also have the benefit of a watertight sales contract, approved by the Belgian consumer organization Test Aankoop, including a 14-day exchange guarantee.
THE VAB DIAGNOSTICS CENTRE: WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF YOUR CAR?
You can also take your own car along to the VAB Diagnostics Centre for full testing, for example, before setting off on a long journey or if you are planning to sell your car. You'll be surprised how budget-friendly the charges are. And, as a VAB member, you will receive a worthwhile discount.
VAB COMPANY SERVICE. STAGNATION EQUALS DECLINE.
VAB also provides companies with tailor-made breakdown cover. So you can be sure your employees remain 100% mobile all of the time. If your company also operates outside Belgium, you can of course extend your contract to cover the whole of Europe (vehicle) or the world (medical).
